The International Buddhist Center was established to promote Theravada Buddhist teachings in the United States. This is done primarily through the promotion of Buddhist Insight Meditation The International Buddhist Center also provides educational opportunities which includes: * The Buddhist Teachings (Dharma) * The Pali Language (the Language of the Theravada Buddhist Canon of Sutras) * Sinhalese Language The teachings will be provided both in structured classes and in informal settings as per the needs of the community. The Buddhist Center also provides a full range of ministerial services for the Theravada Buddhist Community.
